I spit my coffee out when I got to “Every family has at least one Snow Eater!” So true!
Loved reading this Tim. Our seanachie growing up gave us some whimsical and magical moment’s that I’ve carried on through out my life with children I’ve known. Seeing the thrill in a child’s eyes generated a special feeling. We knew our seanachie had magical powers because he said so. Blink and the light will go on, count to 10 and the commercials will be over, do you believe in leprechauns?…look at the palms of your hands. His 5 children believed every word he said and truly believed he was magical.
I was the butter and airplane glue eater in the family… not as innocent as the Snow Eater …hence the name butterball!…there’s one rogue eater of strange things in every family!! But you are carrying on things that you maybe forgot, but in the quiet you remember. The waiting at the top of the stairs on Christmas morning till the Christmas lights were on, Bing Crosby crooning on the old console and coffee was being made for the mom who worked all night. The shoveling of snow off the lake so we had a smooth place to skate. You are passing down all these remembrances to your little Snow Eater 💕
Wonderful Tim! I love it. I’m a snow lover and I always will be. I even did a polar bear plunge in Sister Bay , Wisconsin on a cold January 1st, a few years ago. Most people were just running in and out. I said the hell with this. I dove under the surface and thoroughly enjoyed it , though I shrunk in ways, that I didn’t think was possible. Good job Tim. We all need a a lot more whimsy!
Hahahah. Thanks Al. Cold plunging and me get along great.I love it. Another thing we have in common Al. Appreciate your support
